Before I had none, I had so many.
This morning I stepped out onto my deck where I can see everything there is to see by looking out, down and anywhere my eyes take me. Visualize climbing up into a tree house that overlooks your whole life. Picture little twinkling lights and how they are getting vividly brighter as different events in your life show up.

Merriam-Webster defines regret as:
Verb – feel sad, repentant, or disappointed over (something that has happened or been done, especially a loss or missed opportunity)
Noun – a feeling of sadness, repentance, or disappointment over something that has happened or been done.
How do you define regret? Which regrets are lighting up? What do you believe? How are those beliefs supporting you?
Before I discovered coaching, the definitions above resonated, and much of the time resulted in guilt, sadness, passed-up opportunities, heightened insecurities, and/or lack of acceptance.
Today I have a much different perspective, or have different beliefs, if you will. I realize that my failures, weaknesses, and poor decisions are all a part of the plan to propel my life forward, and to make a difference in other people’s lives. I no longer see regrets as a life sentence. Instead I see them as gifts. Through the coaching and reprograming of my mind, I navigate life in a much healthier and productive way. Now I can see how each intricate part of my life has shaped me by supporting instead of leaving behind the shattered pieces.
God created me on purpose for a purpose. And I know he doesn’t create junk. You see, those failures, weaknesses, and poor decisions were opportunities for Him to create the light that shines in me.
How can your regrets support you?
Let your light shine with no regrets!
